Express or Standard? A Two-Channel Approach to Corporate Material Procurement

The most common mistake in corporate material procurement is handling every request through the same process. A display stand needed today and a quarterly brochure have completely different lead times, costs and error tolerance; queueing them together usually means urgent items are delayed while slow items pay for speed they do not need.

1. The express channel: for "needed today"

Openings, trade shows, inspections and last-minute replacements all come with a hard deadline. The 4-hour express delivery offered by JINTU® Enterprise Services relies on a production network covering more than 50 cities and over 4,000 advertising production resources — matching capacity nearby and shortening the logistics radius is what makes an hour-level lead time possible.

2. The standard channel: for "not urgent, but cheaper"

Quarterly material replenishment, annual bulk printing, centralized printing by headquarters and office stationery all have room in the schedule. JINYIN® handles these through standard-part group buying: the same batch of materials is produced on capacity with a scale advantage and delivered through the national warehousing and distribution network. Unit prices fall as volumes rise, and express handling is explicitly excluded so that the cost it would add is passed back to the customer.

3. Five criteria for running both channels

  • Deadline: is there a use date that cannot be postponed?
  • Volume: a single-item restock or bulk printing?
  • Degree of standardization: are there reusable layouts and specifications?
  • Budget cycle: can it be scheduled with the quarterly budget and shipped in batches?
  • Room for error: is there time to recover if something goes wrong?

4. Keeping the two channels from slowing each other down

The key is to sort the material list in advance: which items may be ordered at short notice, and which can be scheduled quarterly. Once sorted, urgent items go through the express channel and bulk items through group buying, each running on its own schedule — so urgent orders do not queue and unnecessary express fees are not paid on materials that can wait.

JINTU® Enterprise Services and JINYIN® handle these two types of demand respectively. For help sorting and grading your material list, contact us online, or see theservice capabilities page for the full delivery system.
